An Appearance In The Showcase’s Highlights Video (typically clips from 3 songs)
Raw Multitrack Audio .WAV Files – allowing you to mix your own “Live In Concert” Audio
Raw Multicamera Video .MP4 Files – allowing you to create your own “Live In Concert” music videos and promo videos.
WE LOVE ORIGINALS: Send me lyrics (preferably as a PowerPoint file) and we’ll run them on our BIG SCREEN TV as you perform.
No Hassle Setup/Teardown Using The Showcase Complete Backline (Drums, Bass Amp, Multitrack Recording PA) lugging only your own specific equipment (typically instruments and guitar amps, if needed)
What Performers Provide:
Quality Music To Share
Stick Around And Enjoy At Least One Other Act’s Set
Buys Something (Anything) Off The Menu (Win-Win For The Venue: Italiamo Kitchen
It helps if you bring some friends to enjoy your performance.
THE PROCESS:
Email doug@ddmusic.org to get a 15 or 30 minute set.
Email dialog establishing your timeslot and how best to setup for your act
Show up before your timeslot and stage your equipment in the back or arrive before the show and setup on stage as much as practical.
Previous band ends and clears their equipment from the stage.
Your 40 Minute Timeslot Starts
Adjust setup (mic locations, drum setup (if needed), setup guitar amps, etc.). Hopefully takes around 5 minutes.
Quick Sound Check (piece of a song with all instruments and singers). Adjust the gain for all act-specific inputs. Get the monitors adjusted. Establish a baseline balance for the audience.
First Song – picked to support the adjustment of the PA.
Remainder of Performance – where hopefully your best material is.
End with enough time to move you act’s equipment back to the Staging Area.
Before leaving the stage, have the band stand together at the front of the stage (perhaps with instruments) for some “band photo” video from which stills can be taken for “band photo” promotions.
